I was asked today by a work mate for some advise
it went a bit kike this
i think the head gaskit is fxxxxx on my mazda how do you tell
me... when did you get a mazda
him ...its my lads he said i could use it
me ...thats unusual mx5,s seldom suffer from gaskit problems i will have a look when i am done
him... no its not a mx5 its a rx8 Laughing Laughing
with my hands on my head i said in that case i would seek profesional help Laughing Laughing
what would you have said Question

I'd have said "I'm 100% sure its not your head gasket"

"how can you be so sure?"

It'll be hard to get a hold of a head gasket for an RX8. I reckon I can do it but it's not gonna be cheap.

i got a chance to give it a quick look over Laughing Laughing
the dip stick looks like creame of chicken soup i was tempted to taste it mmm
the oil filler Confused Laughing i had to scoop out the verry white oily soup out
although it still sounds great Confused
i will let you know when it stops and kills its self in its own fumes Laughing Twisted Evil

Sounds like my Merc ! Laughing

ALthough the oil pressure is so high that there's no collant in the oil - just oil in the coolant!

Don't worry Clarky, I'm not changing the head gasket, just yet! Laughing

A good flush and back flush this weekend and I'll run it a couple more weeks to see if the gunge comes back. Then I'll decide what to do. Might be a wee project over the summer or I might just drive it til it dies in a cloud of steam. Laughing
